Summary: A Real Housewife was arrested in Florida this weekend.
On the “Real Housewives of New York City,” they call her The Countess. And on Sunday morning, the Countess found herself in some real-life drama when she was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Luann de Lesseps was arrested in Florida for kicking a police officer while drunk. She was also charged with resisting arrest and with threatening a public servant. According to TMZ, four of the five counts were felonies.
De Lesseps, 52, has already issued a statement, apologizing for her behavior and blaming her emotional problems.
“I want to offer my sincere apologies to anyone I might have offended with my behavior,” de Lesseps said on Twitter. “This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being there brought up long-buried emotions. I am committed to [a] transformative and hopeful 2018.”

The marriage the Countess was referring to was her seven-month partnership with businessman Tom D’Agostino Jr. The two’s relationship was featured on her hit Bravo reality TV series, and it ended in August. During this time, D’Agostino allegedly cheated on the Real Housewife, and their fighting culminated in a physical confrontation this summer.
De Lesseps was previously married to Count Alexandre de Lesseps, which earned her the official title of the Countess.
In Florida, de Lesseps allegedly kicked a cop while drunkenly screaming, “I’m going to kill you all.”
The Countess was released without bond and she is due back in court on January 25. Before her release, the judge told the reality star she may have a drinking problem but warned her to not respond as to not incriminate herself, according to TMZ.
Earlier this year, de Lesseps was asked by Entertainment Tonight if she was dating again after her split from D’Agostino, and she said that she was taking time for herself.
“I’m not really dating. I’m taking time for myself. I’m enjoying my children and my girlfriends … I’m getting my life back,” de Lesseps said. “So, I’m just trying to get back on my feet. So, I don’t have time for boys right now, but that doesn’t mean I’m dead.”
The troubled star said that for New Year’s she would be attending a wedding, and she said that she was “in a good place.”
“On New Year’s Eve, I’m going to a wedding in Chile,” de Lesseps told E! News said. “I had a rough period and now I just feel liberated and I’m doing me and enjoying my friends and family and it’s good. I’m in a good place.”
Hopefully, her weekend arrest was just a lapse in judgment…
