Summary: This week, Pauley Perrette’s ex-husband attempted to sue the star, calling her a stalker.
Actress Pauley Perrette has been accused of stalking and defamation. According to Page Six, her ex-husband attempted to file a lawsuit against her in Los Angeles Superior Court, and he said that the NCIS star went so far as to break into his home and attack his friend.
News of the attempted filing comes after Perrette said on Sunday that she endured numerous physical assaults on the set of NCIS and that she was silenced by a “machine.” She did not elaborate what had happened or who the perpetrator was, but it is rumored that she had a feud with NCIS star Mark Harmon.
Perrette, who played the character Abby, stated she was disillusioned with fame and that was why she recently left NCIS. CBS responded to Perrette’s assault allegations, confirming that she had made a complaint about an incident last year. The network said they conducted an investigation and took care of the matter. On Thursday, the actress thanked them for having her back, according to CBS News.
“I want to thank my studio and network CBS They have always been so good to me and always had my back,” Perrette said.
While CBS seems to be on Perette’s side, her ex-husband Francis “Coyote” Shivers and his wife Mayra Dias Gomes Shivers have gone public, calling Perrette a serial false accuser.
“Although she has done so much to hurt others while successfully portraying herself as the absolute opposite to the media and her fans, all I wish is for her to seek proper mental health treatment and to stop victimizing innocent people in order to be recognized as a victim herself, or better, as a hero,” Mayra Dias Gomes Shivers wrote on Facebook.
In Perrette’s ex-husband’s recent complaint, Francis Shivers said that his ex-wife tried to ruin his reputation and stalked him, but Page Six said that Francis Shivers was named a “vexatious litigant” in 2008 because he allegedly abused the California legal system with meritless lawsuits. His recent filing against Perrette went through because of an error, but it is now being held until a judge can review his claims. Because of his status as a vexatious litigant, his lawsuits are often rejected.
Shivers said in his filing that Perrette broke into his house, shouted obscenities at his female guest, and said she would ruin him if the two did not get back together. Shivers said he would not listen to her threats and the actress began to stalk him and send malicious letters to his associates in 2016.
“Pauley Perrette is the ultimate ANTI-MeToo,” Shivers told Fox News. “A serial false accuser, whose own handwriting illustrates her obsession with using false accusations as weapons.”
Perrette has yet to respond to her ex-husband’s claims, but Page Six noted that she has a restraining order against him following their divorce proceedings.
