Greenberg Traurig Bolsters Albany, Philadelphia Offices

Miami-based firm Greenberg Traurig has made additions to its offices in Albany and Philadelphia. Michael J. Grygiel has joined the firm’s Albany office as a shareholder in its litigation practice and William Hurst has joined as of counsel. In Philadelphia, Greenberg Traurig has added partner James Boudreau and associate Christina Tellado, each of whom come over from Littler Mendelson. They will serve the firm’s labor and employment practice.

Grygiel and Hurst both represent media clients. Grygiel has more than two decades experience representing media clients from newsgathering – and publication – related claims, including defamation, copyright infringement and invasion of privacy matters. He also currently serves as chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Media Law.

Hurst represents media clients in cases involving access to judicial proceedings and records and other public access matters. He also represents clients against defamation, invasion of privacy and other newsgathering and publication-related claims.

Boudreau works in representing management in class action and complex employment litigation. He told the Philadelphia Business Journal the practice he built at Littler Mendelson made him attractive to larger firms. He jumped to Greenberg after being contacted by a firm recruiter.  Of the move, Boudreau said “(Littler) offered me a national platform, but Greenberg is more flexible on rates than other big firms.”

Greenberg Traurig has more than 1,775 attorneys serving clients from more than 30 offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
