Thompson Hine LLP of counsel Michael J. Zimmer was named co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Carbon Trading and Energy Finance Committee. The appointment is peer-nominated and the term spans the 2010-2011 ABA year, which began on Aug. 8.
Zimmer focuses his practice on energy project development and regulation, climate change, energy project acquisitions and finance transactions. He has more than 35 years of legal experience and has served clients in more than 35 states and 20 countries.
Zimmer has served in various capacities with the American Council for Renewable Energy and the marketing committee of the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition and the ABA. He was also the only practicing lawyer on the U.S. Green Building Council Energy & Atmospheric Technical Advisory Group (EATAG) Committee from 2005-2009.
