Two former intellectual property attorneys for Mintz Levin have left the firm to form their own Boston-based boutique.
The firm, dubbed Gilman Clark LLC for Bob Gilman and Thomas (T.J.) Clark, will focus its practice on small to mid-sized high-technology companies, a press release said.
“The people responsible for a company’s intellectual property have a renewed focus on the value provided by their outside counsel,” the firm leaders said. “At Gilman Clark, we can offer the same big-firm quality of representation we always have, but at a lower cost.”
Gilman has over ten years of patent litigation experience and Clark has an extensive corporate technology background.
The firm opened it offices at 176 Franklin Street, 4th floor, in Boston’s Financial District and has already retained several clients in the technology sector, including Pulse Trading, a national brokerage firm, and Nextslide Imaging, a medical diagnostic company.
