Law schools under pressure push law firms to hire early

Law schools under pressure to prove that their students will get good, well-paid jobs upon graduation have started pushing law firms to start recruiting in August. This is months earlier than the usual practice till last year. Firms usually start showing up on campuses in October end. The reasons for this are pretty clear. In the class of 2010, only one-fourth of the graduates found jobs with the big law firms, while the figure for 2009 was one-third.
