Irene Forces Some New York Courts to Shut Down

Hurricane Irene caused great floods in the state of New York and a lot of damage as well. The flooding was so bad in some parts that it caused courts in ten New York City counties in the northwest part of the city to remain closed. The spokesman for the Office of Court Administration, David Bookstaver stated that the courts are not sure when they will open back up.
