Actress Demi Moore has been admitted to a hospital for what sources close to the actress claim is ‘exhaustion’. But other sources have told TMZ that the real reason is substance abuse. Moore was with a friend, when the actress started shaking and it seemed like she was having a seizure. The friend then called 911 from the actress’s Los Angeles home on Monday night. Paramedics took about 30 minutes to check her out of her home before taking her to a nearby hospital.
One of Moore’s representatives said that she would be undergoing treatment for exhaustion and also to improve her health overall. The statement from the representative says: “Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”
Moore’s personal life has been through a rough patch lately, with the actress filing for divorce from husband Ashton Kutcher in November. The couple was married for almost six years and was always under media scrutiny for the 16-year age gap between the two. Kutcher is 33 and Moore 49.
Recent pictures showed the Ghost and Striptease star looking increasingly thin, which had her friends and supporters, concerned about her health. Moore has now dropped out of the Linda Lovelace biopic, in which she was slated to play feminist Gloria Steinem.
