Authorities have stated that there are no signs of foul play in the death of Sage Stallone even though the Los Angeles Police Department homicide detectives have been present for the majority of the case. Sage is the son of actor Sylvester Stallone. He was found dead at his home in Studio City on Friday at the age of 36. An autopsy was performed by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office this past weekend but the toxicology tests will not be known for two months.

Sylvester Stallone was said to be â€devastated and grief-stricken’ by his son’s death. Stallone asked the public to â€respect my talented son’s memory and feel compassion for his living mother, Sasha,’ in a statement released Monday.

Found at the home were prescription drugs and other items, according to Ed Winter from the coroner’s office. Winter also stressed that authorities do not know if those items played a role in Sage’s death. When determining the cause of death, it is common for the coroner working on the case to examine prescription drugs. It is also common in such a death probe for police detectives to assist in the case.

When Stallone was found dead, the LAPD’s North Hollywood Division responded to the residence. Officials from the department said that robbery-homicide can be brought into investigations that are high-profile or are in need of resources that divisional detectives do not have. Sage Stallone’s body was found by a housekeeper, according to his lawyer, George Braunstein. Sage worked as an actor and a director and was born on May 5, 1976 in Los Angeles. He was given the name Sage Moonblood Stallone at birth and was the first son of Stallone and actress Sasha Czack. Sage appeared in â€Rocky V’ in 1990 to begin his acting career. He played Rocky Balboa Jr., the son of his father’s character, Rocky Balboa. He was just 14 at the time of his debut.

In 1996, Sage appeared again in a movie with his father, this time in the film â€Daylight.’ Sage had roles in nine other short films and movies. His latest appearance was a television documentary about the â€Rocky’ films in 2011. Sage was a co-founder of Grindhouse Releasing with Bob Murawski. The company works with the theatrical and video release of B movies from the 1970s and 1980s that have been restored. The catalog of the company includes movies such as “An American Hippie in Israel,” “I Drink Your Blood” and “Cannibal Holocaust.” The latest release of the company was “Gone with the Pope” in 2010.
