It was announced via a press release on Wednesday that one of the partners from the North Carolina law firm of Yates, McLamb & Weyher will be serving as program faculty for American Education Institute. The partner, who is also a physician, is Lori Meyerhoffer. Meyerhoffer recorded two lectures in August for the 2012-2013 Medical-Dental-Legal update educational program, according to the press release.
The two lectures recorded by Meyerhoffer are titled Electronic Medical Records: Malpractice Liability Pitfalls and RAC Audit Appeals: A Practical Guide. The program will last one week and will include the lectures, which should be presented over 900 times all across the United States for legal, dental and medical professionals who have continuing education credits.
Meyerhoffer has graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine, the University of North Carolina School of Law and the University of Houston College of Optometry. Meyerhoffer has licenses in both medicine and law that are still active. Meyerhoffer worked as an attending physician with UNC Chapel Hill Department of Medicine and was an Associate Professor of Medicine before joining the law firm in 2007.
The law firm was founded in 1983 by Dan J. McLamb and Barbara B. Weyher and it employs 29 lawyers right now.
