One of the most popular and recognized women from the ‘Housewives’ television brand has announced that she and her husband are separating. Bethenny Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy are separating after two years of marriage. Frankel, 42, is also an author, a chef and an entrepreneur. She spoke to the Associated Press on Sunday, saying that the split from her husband has brought her “great sadness.”
“This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family,” Frankel said. “We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”
The couple married in 2010 and have a daughter, Bryn, who was also born in 2010. The relationship between the two was seen on television on the reality shows “Bethenny Getting Married?” and “Bethenny Ever After…” Frankel first became popular on “The Real Housewives of New York City.”
Following her rise to fame on the Bravo reality show, Frankel has written four books, founded the Skinnygirl cocktail brand, released a fitness video, released nutritional supplements and released shapewear.
A talk show called “Bethenny” is scheduled to begin airing on the Fox network in 2013. She began filming the talk show in the summer.
