On Saturday, Chris Brown was involved in a car accident that included just his vehicle, which was totaled when he hit a wall, according to TMZ. Brown has said that he crashed his vehicle while trying to get away from paparazzi, who are denying they caused the accident.

A statement was released by Brown’s representative saying that the singer was cut off by two photographers and said the accident was a result of “aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi.” The owner of INF, the agency that had the photographers at the scene of the crash, spoke with TMZ. He went on to say that his employees were interviewed by police who “appeared to be satisfied” that they did not cause the accident. A press release was issued by the Beverly Hills Police Department that stated the following:

“On February 9, 2013 at approximately 1203pm, entertainer Chris Brown was involved in a solo, non-injury traffic collision in the 600 Block Bedford Drive/Camden Drive alley. Mr. Brown was the driver of the vehicle and collided with a wall. Brown stated that he was being chased by paparazzi causing him to lose control of his vehicle. Brown’s Black Porsche was towed from the scene at his request.”
