A managing partner from Genser Dubow Genser & Cona in Melville, Jennifer Cona, has been honored with the Long Island Business News “Leadership in Law” Award, according to the Half Hollow Hills Patch in New York.
Cona received her award on November 29 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. She was chosen by a committee of business leaders. The award recognizes people who dedicate themselves to leadership and excellence in the community and in the legal industry.
“I am honored to receive this award and to be a part of an elite group of attorneys who not only dedicate their time to superior advocacy on behalf of their clients but who engage in community and pro bono work to help our community members in need,” Cona said.
At her law firm, Cona founded the elder law and health care facility representation departments 15 years ago. The departments now feature 30 staff members. Cona counsels, represents, and assists seniors and family members regarding estate planning and elder law.
Cona lectures often about elder law, estate planning and special needs planning at local and national professional organizations and community groups. She has been featured in local and national media including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Kiplinger’s Retirement Report, Newsday, Long Island Business News, New York Law Journal, CPA Wealth Provider, and the Nassau Lawyer and Suffolk Lawyer.
