On Tuesday, Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. announced on its website that Scott Fulton, the former General Counsel of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is joining the law firm’s Washington, DC office, from March, as a Principal. Fulton had been appointed by President Obama in 2009 as the Acting Deputy EPA Administrator and Chief Operating Officer, and was subsequently nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate as the General Counsel of EPA from August 2009.

Fulton left the EPA in January, this year after working for 22 years in the agency. He would be joining Beveridge’s environmental and natural resource practice and would be providing counseling and strategic advice on domestic regulatory matters and international regulations and sustainability.
