Yale Law School makes it again to number 1 as a popular law school in the United States, according to U.S. News.
According to the U.S. News Short List, Yale took on a higher percentage of accepted applicants than any other law school.
The U.S. News Short List is a regular ranking series that emphasizes individual metrics in desires of giving law students and their parents who usually provide students with financial backing a method to investigate which undergraduate or graduate programs drive forward or need improvements to be made in particular areas.
Law schools experienced a decline in applicants recently. According to U.S. News, the law schools saw a decline by nearly 20 percent in 2012 from 2011. Those who want to go to law school are applying to multiple places to ensure a spot. Prospective law students desiring for a seat at a law school in the fall 2013 sent applications to a about seven schools, according to U.S. News on data released in March 2013 by the Law School Admission Council.
When acceptance letters come in the mail, some students may get many rejections because their LSAT scores are not high enough, or because their undergraduate GPAs were not stellar. These students may go with the only one school that offers admission. They do not have to deal with any wonder on what life would turn out if they chose one school over another.

Those who are at the scholarship level or high achievers have the opposite problem from those who get one ticket to becoming a lawyer. These students need to eliminate from their lists one after another until they determine why the remaining school on the list is better for their career, personal life, or other objectives.
Most students who got accepted to Yale Law School decided to go with Yale. At Yale, the percentage of accepted candidates who decide to enroll continues to go up. While other law schools offer financial incentives, or let applicants delay their start dates, Yale does not have to deal with a drop in enrollment.
According to U.S. News, about 83 percent of candidates accepted to Yale Law School for the 2012-2013 academic year decided to go to Connecticut. This was more than 3 times the national yield average of 25.2 percent, according to U.S. News, citing full-time and part-time admissions data published by 190 ranked law schools in a yearly U.S. News survey. The national yield average went down from 28 percent in 2011-2012.
Student’s enthusiasm for Yale is not shocking. The school won the top spot in this year’s Best Law Schools rankings. Other popular schools were Harvard Law School and Stanford Law School. These schools tied for second in the rankings, and went up on higher-than-average yields for 2012-2013.
