Greenberg Traurig is expanding its M&A practice, which has already taken on Dennis J. Block, Gabriel Monon-Cortarelli, and Margaret Isa Butler, in their New York office, by bringing on board another heavy hitter, one Daniel Serota. Serota has represented both buy-side and sell-side parties in a variety of atmospheres such as auctions, mergers, joint ventured – the entire gamut – so brings with him a rich background of experience and ability.
Dennis Block, the Senior Chairman of Traurig’s Corporate and MA Practice said that “Daniel’s experience advising clients from a wide range of industries makes him a perfect fit for our practice. Over the past several years we have attracted a talented group of M&A attorneys as well as the best corporate finance advisers anywhere in the world.” Sure to bolster the good name of good old Traurig, he at least keys in on what makes Serota so coveted.
David Schwartzbaum, Co-Chair of Traurig’s Global M&A Steering Committee likewise knew what he was getting into with Daniel. “Daniel is well-known in the industry, especially for his M&A private equity work.”
Daniel, for his part, was pink with delight to join the internationally imposing team. “I am excited to join Greenberg Traurig’s corporate practice and work with a team of experience M&A attorneys,” he enthused. “I look forward to working alongside them and to continue to build Greenberg Traurig’s corporate practice.”
Backed with his JD from Columbia Law School and his BA from the University of Michigan, and a wealth of experience, he should be in a position to do just that.
