Texting while driving is an illegal and dangerous bad habit for some very sensible reasons. Sexting while driving, though probably no more illegal, is a worse habit, as naturally you would be more distracted. Calling out to other drivers while exposing your chest and then masturbating out the window at 90 MPH is just plain-out wrong. All that is common sense, but the former Mount Carmel Vice-Mayor William Blakely nevertheless lacked such insight, and is being charged for dozens of such antics in which he crossed over lanes and honked to get the attention of female drivers, exposing himself, and other offensive nonsense.
“I was scared that I was gonna wreck, he was gonna cause me to wreck,” said one witness, Deborah Sturgill, as reported by News Channel 11.
“At over 90 miles per hour, he had his penis out [the window] … he was masturbating…and that’s when it got really, really bad. I wouldn’t look over any more, and I wrote his tag number down on my hand, which I believe he noticed, and he exited very quickly,” said another witness, Kelly Street.
Kingsport Police Detective Terry Christian said that grabbing this tag made the difference. “It went on for so long and nobody’s addressed it,” said Christian. Dozens had called in, but nobody had gotten a tag. “It’s important to make that report because if you don’t, they’re gonna feel that they can continue that offense and continue victimizing more females. And that might be your best friend, your daughter your mother, your aunt, your niece. And you need to make that report because that’s what’s going to eventually stop that type of behavior.”
He lauded, therefore, the testimony of the women on Thursday. These cases were bound by the judge to a Sullivan County Grand Jury that is scheduled for June 14.
