Barnes and Thornburg have gained a veteran attorney who brings decades of experience to their Labor & Employment Law Department. Jeffrey Mallamad was grabbed from Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP where he worked with employers an a variety of assignments, such as defending employers from federal and state lawsuits; counseling C-suite executives on hiring packages, compensation and so forth; handling OSHA technical details over worker accidents; and advising on union avoidance and and union management. His strong points are his wide ranging experience in providing legal counsel and aid to businesses, and his power as a leader.

Mallamad graduated cum laude from the University of Toledo in 1975, and then earned his JD from Case Western Reserve School of Law in 1979, after which he served as U.S. EEOC Regional Attorney in Denver, supervising federal civil rights litigation, and then working from 1990 onwards with Bingham Greenebaum Doll for their various employer suits, before finally joining Barnes & Thornburg, which was announced on Tuesday.
Among the honors he has received include being named 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Labor & Employment by Martindale Hubbell. He was also recognized in the Case Western Reserve School of Law Hall of Fame.
In joining Thornburg, he is joining one of the largest law firms, over 600 strong, with offices in Atlanta, Delaware, Chicago, Indiana, Los Angeles, Michigan, Minneapolis, Ohio, and Washington, D.C.
