DMX has been chosen to be George Zimmerman’s opponent in a long awaited celebrity boxing match.
According to TMZ, Boxing promoter Damon Feldman said, DMX was selected out of 15,000 applicants, all of whom were very vocal about wanting a piece of Zimmerman in the ring after he issued the open challenge to fight anyone willing to take him.
The promoter said Zimmerman was interested in boxing Kanye West. He wanted to fight Kanye because of the rapper’s alleged disobedience against the “defenseless.” Feldman a celebrity boxing promoter said Wednesday that Zimmerman will fight DMX in a three-round boxing match.
No one wanted to get in the ring more than DMX. TMZ reported earlier that DMX promises to massacre Zimmerman in the ring if he ever got the chance. DMX said, “I’m going to beat the living crap out of him and I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I beat him right up.” He then stated he would urinate on Zimmerman’s face.
That might not be as easy as it sounds to 43 year-old DMX. According to RadarOnline.com, Zimmerman, who is 30, said boxing has been a long time hobby even before “the incident.” According to TMZ, he’s been training pretty hard for months.

The money from the upcoming boxing event will go to an undisclosed animal rescue group.
