Quarles & Brady LLP has announced that four attorneys, Travis Eliason, Laura MacDonald, Anne O’Brien and Jaya White are leaving Krieg Devault to join their Chicago office as associates. A brief introduction of the new associates of the law firm are given below:
Travis Eliason joins the firm as an associate in the Commercial Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Group. His practice focuses on representing lenders and other secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases and complex commercial litigation. His experience includes the foreclosure and sale of a variety of commercial properties, and the representation of financial institutions in breach of contract actions, commercial foreclosures, bankruptcy proceedings, appeals, mechanics’ lien foreclosures, loan workouts, and post-judgment collections. He earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law and his undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from Wheaton College.
Laura MacDonald joins the firm as an associate in the Health Law Practice Group, with experience in commercial litigation. Her practice is focused on health care, litigation, and regulatory matters. MacDonald has experience representing a broad range of clients facing governmental investigations and prosecutions, license and disciplinary matters, administrative review appeals of governmental agency decisions, and general litigation disputes. She also has experience with appeals, creditors’ rights, and commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts. She received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami and her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Carthage College.
Anne O’Brien also joins the firm as an associate in the Health Law Practice Group. She advises pharmacies, wholesale distributors and manufacturers regarding regulatory compliance and licensing issues. Additionally, she has represented pharmacists, pharmacies, hospitals, nurses, physicians, nursing homes and other entities in civil and administrative venues, including discipline and licensure matters, actions to recover and terminate, petition for reinstatement of eligibility to participate in Medicare and defense of medical negligence claims. Ms. O’Brien received her law degree from Franklin Pierce Law Center and her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Illinois-Urbana.
Jaya White joins the firm as an associate in the Health Law Practice Group. Her recent experience includes a significant emphasis on HIPAA/HITECH compliance, pharmacy law, and regulatory compliance on behalf of health care providers such as long-term care facilities and home health agencies. She earned both her law degree and undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University.
