Last week, BuckleySandler LLP announced its 2014 partner promotions welcoming three attorneys, Benjamin K. Olson, Amanda M. Raines, and Lauren R. Randell to the partnership. All promoted attorneys are resident in the law firm’s Washington D.C. office.
Buckley Sandler is a 150-lawyer law firm, increasingly recognized for their specialization and prowess in representing clients in the financial services industry. In Chambers USA the firm announced, “For the second year in a row, BuckleySandler had the greatest number of partners highlighted in the category of Financial Services Regulation: Consumer Finance (Compliance), as well as the highest percentage of partners at any firm recognized in the Financial Services categories. ”
On promoting the three attorneys, firm Chairman and Executive Partner, Andrew L. Sandler, said, “We are delighted to welcome Amanda, Ben, and Laurie to the partnership …. Amanda and Laurie have spent their careers working on some of the most significant enforcement, litigation, and trial matters at our firm with our senior partners, doing outstanding work for firm clients and demonstrating their commitment to the development of a strong collaborative firm culture. Ben joined us only last year from the CFPB and has quickly become a critical member of our team and an invaluable source of advice to our clients.”
Among the three, Olson represents financial services institutions in matters involving compliance with CFPB mortgage and credit card regulations. Amanda Raines represents financial institutions in a wide variety of matters, including federal and state enforcement agency investigations and litigation, private civil and class action litigation, regulatory examinations, and corporate internal investigations. And Lauren Randell represents individual and corporate clients in civil and criminal enforcement cases and trials, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), white collar criminal defense matters, criminal antitrust, securities enforcement defense, securities class action litigation, environmental criminal defense, and consumer litigation.
