Steven Tran to Join Hogan Lovells’ Hong Kong Office

Summary: Hogan Lovells announced via a press release on Monday morning that Aaron Cutler has joined the firm in its legislative group after working for Eric Cantor. 

The law firm of Hogan Lovells has announced via a press release that Aaron Cutler has joined the Legislative group at the firm as a partner. He formerly worked as the Senior Advisor for Policy and Outreach for the Office of the Majority Leader, Eric Cantor.

Cutler will center his practice around political intelligence and traditional advocacy. He has worked with clients in real estate, banking, technology, energy and environment, tobacco, telecommunications and financial services.

“Aaron brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective as a former Wall Street transactional lawyer with both Committee and Leadership senior staff Capitol Hill experience,” said Mike House, Director of Hogan Lovells’ Legislative group. “His policy experience on Capitol Hill combined with his relationships on Wall Street will bring a unique set of attributes to Hogan Lovell’s legislative and corporate practices.”

Cutler worked as the liaison to the House Committees on Financial Services, Natural Resources, and Energy & Commerce while with Cantor.

Cutler has also worked as the Deputy Policy Director and Counsel for the Energy and Commerce Committee.

The firm has one of the most highly respected legislative groups on Capitol Hill,” said Cutler. “I look forward to utilizing my previous government involvement at the firm to collaborate with and work alongside well-recognized leaders in the space.”



Cutler earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from George Washington University.
