Um remember when I did the “Ask Me Anything” Post with the anonymous survey? You forgot? Oh, me too…

Haha but I’ve looked over the questions and decided to break this up into a couple posts. First, I appreciate everyone who asked a question! No, I truly don’t know who you are but thank you! Secondly, I won’t be answering questions about more personal things, such as relationships, finances and the last game of the Chief’s season. I know many of you may be curious but those aren’t things I want to share on the world wide web.

So on to the first set of questions! Today’s are all questions centered around where I’ve lived and a couple on traveling.

What was it like going to school in Charleston? I love the town and even toured the campus briefly, I loved the quaint architecture and being minutes from downtown Charleston. What was the atmosphere like attending the college?

I absolutely LOVED going to school in Charleston! Even by my senior year I would find myself walking through the city and thinking “I LIVE here!”

The school is located in the middle of downtown, which is a small peninsula. It’s about 1 mile wide so it’s easy to get just about anywhere, but to go outside of downtown (where the beaches and most brand name places, like grocery stores, target, department stores, etc. are located) you have to drive. The city has an amazing food scene, tons of history and great shopping. If you’ve ever considered vacationing there I highly recommend it!

As for going to school there – it was a blast. It didn’t so much have the “campus” feel that a big school might, although most of the buildings were all in a big campus area. I loved it because you were IN the city, meaning you could walk a block from your class and be on King Street with restaurants and shops.

How long do you see yourself staying in Chicago?

Honestly, I have no idea! I’m job searching mostly in Chicago but I’m also applying to jobs all across the country. My only criteria: would I move there for this job? I love living here in the city right now, it’s a lot of fun to be here at this age and I feel like I’m finally making some good friends. However, I honestly don’t see myself spending my whole life here. You never know, I might change my mind, but I don’t see this as a permanent, settling down place for me.

Where do you have your book clubs! I’m new to Chicago and would love to join!

Well Hi! Welcome to Chicago! The book club that I attend is a Chicago Bloggers book club that we formed out of our Facebook group. We host book club each month at someone’s apartment and bring food potluck style.

I’m sorry to say that it’s really just for bloggers right now, but I actually joined a book club when I first moved here through MeetUp.com. If you have any questions or want to chat, feel free to send me an email!

Where would you live if you weren’t in Chicago?

I actually just talked to my brother about this over the weekend! There are a few cities that I would love to move to, but the only caveat is that I’ve never even visited them! I have them in mind based on things I’ve read and other people’s opinions: Nashville, Seattle, and Portland would be my top three. I’d also be happy in Kansas City and I kind of have an urge to live in New York for a year or two… You never know!

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

Anywhere other than North America! I’ve only been to two countries other than the United States: the Bahamas and the British Virgin Islands… I am dying to travel and see the world!

London

What’s your dream vacation?

If I had to choose somewhere specific, I would choose Europe. Just about anywhere! I’d love to start in Ireland, hop over to England, and then just weave my way through as many countries as I could. In other words, my dream vacation would be spending a couple months exploring Europe. Dreaming big over here.

Where would you move if you had to pick a new city?

What’s your dream vacation?
