Hey everyone, Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a good weekend! I spent a lot of time studying over the weekend, but I also had my first kickball game which was a great way to take a break for a few hours, meet some new people and have fun! And then back to studying… haha. At least I’ve done this so many times that I don’t stress myself out too much about it at this point!
Anyway, let’s take a look at last week’s workouts:
Monday – Workout A + Cardio
Tuesday – Cardio intervals + Core workout
Wednesday – Workout B + Cardio
Thursday – Cardio intervals + Core workout
Friday – Workout C + Cardio
Saturday – Yoga Rest Day
Sunday – Kickball
And here is what I have coming up for this week:
Monday – Workout A + Cardio
Tuesday – Cardio intervals + Core workout
Wednesday – Workout B + Cardio (or Rest depending on studying)
Thursday – Cardio intervals + Core workout
Friday – Workout C + Cardio
Saturday – Run or Rest
Sunday – Kickball (maybe morning run if I didn’t get it in Saturday)
I’ve been liking this 3rd phase in Tina’s Best Body Boot Camp because it’s different from the others. Although we’re following the same kind of schedule (strength 3 days, cardio 2 days, 2 days optional), the strength is more heavy lifting so it’s a change of pace. It’s also a change of location for me! In my gym the heavy free weights are in a different area… aka where all the men carrying around protein drinks go and lift weights, grunt, and sit there (yes, I’m being funny). I hadn’t been up to that part of my gym in a while, so I was a bit intimidated at first, but I just had to remember, who cares what they think of me!
Along with two days of heavy weights, the third day of strength has been more cardio/circuit oriented and doesn’t require any weights at all. Although I did it in the gym since I needed to use the elliptical as well, I could have easily done it at home or outside in the park! There was one move, however, that was just not going very well… The Frogger.
As much as I tried I could not get my feet anywhere near my hands! I looked ridiculous… haha. But I tried!
What’s one workout move that you find to be particularly difficult?
Do you like heavy lifting or body weight strength training?
