Summary: Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual assault and rape of several women is gaining momentum as more women continue to come forward with their stories.
With so many women coming forward with their stories of sexual assault from Bill Cosby, it was becoming hard to keep the story with the name straight. New York Magazine has removed that question by providing interviews and photos from 35 of his accusers in this month’s edition. There are also six video interviews.
The first alleged assault took place in the 1960s when rape was something that seldom occurred and when it did, it was by a stranger. The interviews have become the only way for many of these women to face the crime they were subjected to years ago and are still trying to recover from.
This magazine feature follows a month of new information and admission by Cosby of obtaining drugs for the purpose of sex during a deposition in 2005. He has still not been charged with a crime since there is still no physical evidence but his public disgrace is undeniable. He denies that any sexual assault has ever occurred because he claims he knows how to read women and their romantic emotions.
The cover features an empty chair, reserved for those that have yet to come forward.
