Summary: Taylor Swift filed a counter lawsuit against the Denver DJ who allegedly groped her butt at a photo shoot.
If you call Taylor Swift a liar, then, baby, now we got bad blood.
On Wednesday, the pop-country superstar filed a countersuit against Denver DJ David Mueller. Mueller originally sued Swift after he was fired from his job at KYGO Radio because he allegedly grabbed her butt during a photoshoot meet-and-greet. Mueller claimed that it was not he who grabbed Swift but one of his bosses.
Ew. Still gross.
Taylor, on the other hand, was certain it was his hand on her tush. After all, someone had not just touched her rear end, someone had lifted up her skirt to do so. That type of sexual violation is hard to forget.

Swift fired back against Mueller with a countersuit, stating that she was positive it was him and not anyone else who had violated her on June 2, 2013 backstage at the Pepsi Center in Denver.
Swift’s attorneys say they were “offended” and “surprised” that Mueller had tried the it-wasn’t-me-defense.
“Mueller’s newfound claim that he is the ‘wrong guy’ and, therefore, his termination from KYGO was unjustified, is specious,” Swift’s counterclaim said. “Ms. Swift knows exactly who committed the assault — it was Mueller.”
Immediately after the incident in 2013, Swift’s camp submitted evidence to the radio station, and they made the decision to fire him, according to USA Today.
With Swift’s countersuit, she is asking for a jury trial, and she states that any money she is awarded will be donated to charities that protect women from similar sexual assault.
Overall, Swift’s decision not to shake off the incident is a bold statement to men who lack respect for women’s bodies, thinking it is okay to touch them “as a joke.”
A similar groping incident recently happened on Mexican television, according to The Daily Mail.
Mexican TV host Tania Reza walked off the set when her male co-host Enrique Tovar groped her on live television, and the footage subsequently went viral (see footage below). A huge scandal ensued, and Reza and Tovar released a video together saying the incident was a publicity stunt. However, after the two hosts were fired anyway, Reza changed her story and said that she was coerced into defending Tovar and that she was in fact violated.
Only time will tell if Reza will follow Swift’s lead and take legal action.
